Merging jpmrblood.blogspot.com and jpmrblood.github.io into Wannabe Exceptional — the reasons behind the move.

I’m merging my old blogs into this one, and here’s why.

My first blog was on Blogger at jpmrblood.blogspot.com. Back then I registered into many blogging platform and it was the only one that stayed. At the time, I felt having a minimum editor is a plus considering my old blog is in Area51 of Geocities. But over time the UI became a chore. Blogging never felt fluid — everything had to be set manually, and the process got in the way of the writing. But honestly, the bigger reason I’m letting it go is personal. Pak Ibam, RMS46 — he was the avid reader of my blog, my idol in so many ways. He’s no longer around, and without him, I lost the incentive to keep that blog alive.

Then there’s jpmrblood.github.io, a tacit cather blog. Made with Jekyll, it made me felt liberated writing in Markdown. However, GitHub’s new AI learning terms changed things for me. I have some personal information scattered across those old posts — nothing major, but enough that the idea of an AI inferring things about me from my writing made me uncomfortable. That was the tipping point.

So here we are. Wannabe Exceptional — a place where I don’t know what I said. I hope this will be the last blog place where I truly write the entries. Or least, I am the the most writer of it.

I have my own place for getting information from AI, ai-suka.pages.dev. I don’t hate AI, the thing is already get out from the Pandora box. I do feel that young programmers shouldn’t touch it because they are in the process of learning. However, who am I to judge?
